Yrs 5 & 6 Hockey...

On Wednesday 25th October, twelve children travelled to Accrington Academy to take part in a Quick Sticks Hockey competition. On arrival, the children were excited by the prospect of playing hockey at a competitive level.  They were split into two Gisburn teams, from here, they were within two different round-robin styled competitions. The winner of the group progressed into the semi-finals.

 

All the children played extremely well; both teams narrowly missed out on the semi-finals, both finishing their group in second place; a really enjoyable evening to round off the first half term. Thank you again for the travelling support of the parents of Gisburn. The children really enjoyed displaying their skills for you.
