The Gisburn School Day

For all children in Reception through to Year 6, the length of the school day is a statutory 6.5 hours per day, totalling 32.5 hours per week.

For all children at Gisburn, the school day begins at 8:50am and finishes at 3:25pm. 

The way our school day is timetabled ensures that there is a substantive high-quality morning and afternoon session in every school day. Alongside this, there is a daily 15 minute morning break and a 1 hour lunchtime. (EYFS & KS1 - have an additional 10 minute afternoon break).
