On Thursday, 7th March we celebrated World Book Day with words! This theme was decided by our Reading Ambassadors. Children and Staff came to school dressed as words, which helped enrich everyone's language! A vocabulary parade was hosted and winners received a prize! Prize categories included the funniest costume and the most ingenious creation.
Children also enjoyed a special World Book Day lunch!
Thank you to all our wonderful parents for celebrating World Book Day with us, taking the time to stay and share stories during the morning! All the children were very excited! Congratulations to the winners of our ‘Decorate a Plate’ competition’ and Wear a Word costumes chosen by our Reading Ambassadors! Everyone had a fantastic day with book swaps, treasure hunts, a vocabulary parade, art, book reviews and fantastic costumes!
