National Story Telling Week
During National Story Telling Week, we took part in ‘Dream up a World’ Storytelling Project, which celebrated the power of sharing stories.
- During our whole school assembly, all the children dreamed up and shared their own wonderful stories based on a thought provoking image.
- Our Reading Ambassadors supported our youngest readers to bring out their imaginations with some adventurous vocabulary and ideas.
- Miss Gervis and Mrs Stalton surprised the children by swapping classes and sharing their favourite stories
- We also had a live story telling event with author Swapna Haddow, all the way from New Zealand, who inspired the children to create their own character and story based on her hilarious and heartfelt books: ‘My Dad is a Grizzly Bear’ and ‘My Mum is a Lioness'.
