Each Autumn term the children elect a new School Council, which enables them to make a more active contribution to school. We aim to give all children equal opportunities for their voice to be heard in school. Each Class elects Class Representatives.

There is great excitement in school on Election Day in October; we hold a secret ballot with real ballot boxes, and successful candidates read their manifestoes in Class.

School Council members are elected by their class mates and are involved in aspects of school decision-making, choosing charities for us to support i.e. they organised a non-uniform day to raise some money in an effort to support the earthquake rescue missions in Turkey and Syria.

The children have also organised whole school competitions and produced calendars for grandparents at Christmas.
