Reception parents are invited to a Welcome Meeting with the Kingfishers Class Team during the Summer Term. This will enable  parents to become familiar with their child’s new teachers and to inform them how we aim to achieve a smooth transition for EYFS to Year 1.  There will be opportunity for parents to explore the Year 1 learning environment to understand how it builds on from the EYFS. Teachers will share the National Curriculum expectations and how this is delivered through our curriculum aimed at inspiring the children to learn and encourage creativity. Parents will be provided with a welcome to Year 1 booklet containing relevant information regarding routines, timetable, reading, phonics and how they can support their child at home with their learning.
