‘Give Them Wings So They Can Fly!’

Remembrance Sunday Service

After being inspired by the poppies, whilst on their visit to London in September, the Eagles children made their own poppy sculptures to commemorate the World War 1 centenary.  They worked with the church to study World War 1 poetry and the lives of Gisburn’s soldiers in order to take part in the Remembrance Sunday service.

Doves also enjoyed 'Sombre Poppies' artwork  and Remembrance Day acrostic poems, in memory of those that died in World War 1 & 2, and these were displayed in church for Remembrance Sunday.
