We are currently working towards the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award.
All children are welcome to join our ‘Eco Schools’ Committee, which meets on a regular basis each term to discuss environmental issues and inspire other children and the wider community.
The Eco-Schools topics that the children have discussed and actioned this year have included: Waste, Energy & School Grounds. The children have also designed an Eco Reading Pod, which is currently in development and carried out litter picking.
The children aim to…
- Reduce the amount of waste going into landfill – recycling bins, composting, reducing the use of paper towels etc.
- Reduce the amount of electricity & oil used in school.
- Grow more plants to attract more wildlife around school.
